The Governor now proposes, in effect,

that the Eastern Extension Telegraph Company

shall take over the control of the Hong Kong

Telegraph Office. It is not clear that they

will be any more willing to do this than they

were previously without reaching an agreement previously... with the Peking Telegraph Administra-
